Πρόκειται για μια καταγραφή όσων βιώσαμε κατά την διάρκεια της διαμονής μας στις Καστανιές του Εβρου. Είδαμε πολύ θυμωμένους ανθρώπους στα σύνορα, με μίσος και έντονη την διάθεση να τραυματίσουν τους Ελληνες. Οχι δεν είδαμε απεγνωσμένους ή κουρασμένους πρόσφυγες, ούτε τις οικογένειές τους.
Είδαμε μια προφανή απόπειρα εισβολής, από ανθρώπους που ενεργούν περισσότερο ως στρατιώτες παρά “ειρηνικούς” γείτονες!
Είδαμε τα τουρκικά μέσα ενημέρωσης να προβάλουν συνεχώς ψευδεις εικόνες από την περιοχή.Δυστυχώς ορισμένοι από τους Ανθρωπιστικούς Οργανισμούς και τα διεθνή ΜΜΕ απλώς αντιγράφουν τα προπαγανδιστικά αυτά πλάνα που δείχνουν για παράδειγμα οικογένειες που ..υποφέρουν στα σύνορα από την «βαρβαρότητα» της Ελλάδας.
Αλλά αυτό που είδαμε εμείς δεν είναι καθόλου συμπαθητική εικόνα.
Εχουμε δει την τουρκική αστυνομία να ρίχνει δακρυγόνα ενάντια των Ελλήνων να προμηθεύουν επιλεγμένες ομάδες μεταναστών στρατιωτικών και παρανόμων με ό, τι χρειάζονται για να καταστρέψουν τον συνοριακό φράκτη, επιτρέποντας συρροή χιλιάδων μεταναστών στην Ελλάδα.
Οι κραυγές τους δεν είναι αυτές της απελπισίας ή ακόμα και της χαράς της εισόδου σε μια ελεύθερη Ευρώπη είναι οι κραυγές μάχης ενός πολέμου που απειλεί την Ελλάδα και την Ευρώπη: «Θα σας κάψουμε, θα σας σκοτώσουμε!» είναι κάποιες από τις κραυγές που ακούγαμε ξανά και ξανά... "Η Ελλάδα επέδειξε για μία ακόμα φορά, την ανωτερότητα, την σύνεση το φρόνημα, την αυτοθυσία και το πάθος να υποστηρίξει το δίκαιο και τα πάτρια εδάφη. Απο τους απλούς πολίτες που χειροκροτούν αυτούς που φυλλάσουν θερμοπύλες μέχρι τους ένστολους που ακουνητοι υπερασπίζονται τα σύνορα της πατρίδας τους".

In 2016, Turkey signed an accord with the European Union to aid in stemming immigration across its border into Greece:
Since then, the Turkish president Tayyip Erdoğan has threatened again and again to open his border with Greece, allowing a human wave into Greece and Europe.
On February 29th 2020, he made good on this threat. The number of refugees and migrants that has amassed on the border was so large that Greece cannot identify or classify them – are they immigrants, refugees, from where? And Going where?
Urged by Turkish news and Turkish authorities, thousands of immigrants and refugees came to the border and became effectively trapped between Turkey and Europe. They were not allowed to cross or to return to Turkey.
What happens then, it wasn't the reaction someone expects from refugee families – desperate and tired – it was an obvious attempt of invasion, from those who act more like soldiers than – next door peaceful neighbors
Meanwhile turkish media provides continuous false footage from the site. Sadly some of Humanitarian Orgs and international Media just copy paste those folse info showing for example families suffering at the borders, from the “brutality” of Greece. This is no longer a refugee problem. This is a blatant attempt by Turkey to use desperate people to promote its geopolitical agenda and to divert attention from the horrible situation in Syria. The tens of thousands of people who tried to enter Greece over the past few days did not come from Idlib. They have been living safely in Turkey for a long period of time; most of them speak Turkish fluently. Europe will not be blackmailed by Turkey over the refugee issue. We stand ready to support Turkey in dealing with this refugee problem and find a solution to the Syria conundrum, but not under these circumstances. My duty is to protect the sovereignty of my country. At the same time, Greece is also doing Europe a great service. The border of Greece is the external border of the European Union. We will protect it.
